MobiHealth allows patients to be fully mobile whilst undergoing health monitoring. The patient wears a customised lightweight system - the MobiHealth BAN (Body Area Network) - Physical measurements as blood pressure or ECG are measured by the BAN and transmitted wirelessly (GPRS/UMTS) to the doctor, hospital or health call centre.
